Passive Sentences (Pasif Cümleler) Konu anlatımı
Örneğin; Budi ate an apple ( Budi bir elma yedi) bu cümlede ön planda olan Budi iken, passive sentencede elmanın yiyilmesi ön plana çıkar. Örnek olarak An apple was eaten by Budi (Elma Budi tarafından yenildi) yada An apple was eaten by someone (Elma biri tarafından yenildi) veya An apple was eaten (Elma yenildi) şeklindedir.

Simple Present
Active: Once a week, Tom cleans the house.Haftada bir, Tom evi temizler.
Passive: Once a week, the house is cleaned by Tom.

Present Continuous
Active: Right now, Sarah is writing the letter.Şu an Sarah mektup yazıyor.

Simple Past
Active: Sam repaired the car.Sam arabayı tamir etti.
Passive: The car was repaired by Sam.

Past Continuous
Active: The salesman was helping the customer when the thief came into the store.Satıcı, hırsız mağazaya girdiğinde müşteriye yardımcı oluyordu.
Passive: The customer was being helped by the salesman when the thief came into the store.
Hırsız mağazaya girdiğinde müşteriye satıcı tarafından yardım ediliyordu.
Present Perfect
Active: Many tourists have visited that castle.Birçok turist bu kaleyi ziyaret etti.
Passive: That castle has been visited by many tourists.

Present Perfect Continuous
Active: Recently, John has been doing the work.Son zamanlarda John işi yapıyor.
Passive: Recently, the work has been being done by John.

Past Perfect
